There was a service bulletin out about not filling the tranny to the full level. I thought I had saved it, but I can't find it. I didn't use a full quart in mine the last service. Shifts great with the pink stuff.
I just found out yesterday that there is a service bulletin that says to start by pouring in 28oz, check and add more if needed. It's also in 2012 manuals.
I never heard about a service bulletin and just put a qt of Amsoil 20w-50 in the tranny 4 days ago. Would only take a couple minutes to suction out a few ounces. Think it's worth it?
When I change tranny oil I just dump in the right amount and forget it. I never check the dip stick. I know that I dumped in the fluid so why check it.
I agree but I still look once and a while and I still can't tell the level because of the chrome stem on the dip stick. I can see that it's wet but too shiny to see the mark

Well, I know if you follow the manual and do a 4 qt oil change with filter that you're going to be overfilling the sump...........
