Being PO'd at the wife wouldn't help the situation anyway. The bike's still bent and she probably feels as bad without you piling on. No need to make her feel worse. Of course, she'd probably be PO'd at you for being PO'd at her. Don't sweat the small stuff! I think you reacted properly.
If you maintain the outlook you have you're acting correctly I would say, If it was ( and easily can be when were stressed ) the other way around you would be very appreaciative of your wife. I'm sure she is feeling relieved by your composure. With that said, I believe it still bothers you because you wrote this thread. Just know that you're not the only one that **** happens to, it's how we handel it.
We cannot control what happens to us in life, only how we react to it. Sorry for the bad stuff. Liking your cool attitude. Will be praying for you and your family.
My first wife told a neighbor, in front of me, that she didn't know if she was going to "LET" me buy a motorcycle. That & some of her other attitudes is why I've always owned motorcycles & she's history.
The woman I'm married to today made a mistake in a boat that broke my back. It was a mistake, could have happened to anyone. She's never been controlling, always supportive, & is the most important part of my life. Sounds to me like you have your priorities in order. Make sure she knows how you feel.
Sorry abt ur incident but the reality is this:
-ur wife was distracted and rearended a bike -u just happened to be on it
-what wud u be thinking had it been another biker?
-was she on a cell phone at the time?
i ask the hard questions for a reason. Think about it.
Keep walking, you'll make it through this bad patch and be better and stronger for it. Good on you to not make a simple misfortune into something mean, or evil. Like you said, order parts, fix the bike, move on. Always good advice, but just now you've got bigger fish to fry. I think of the final days of a loved one like the time before someone leaves you, headed out on a long journey. You spend the time you can with them, reliving moments of your lives together. But eventually, the time comes when you'll have to let them go. Remember, though some say its forever, others warrant the parting will be only temporary, there will be a reunion for you down the road.
