Has anyone seen the program on the development of the v-rod?
This was a very interesting show, they took 6 years
to develope this motorcycle, and used some of the most
highly advanced equipment in the testing, hours upon hours
of test course riding, simmulated shake and rattle
testing for five days...
Then the were testing the sound
the Harley-Davidson V-Rod made.. Used a Stereo Spectrum Microphone
to check for unusual noises, whining and just Non-Harley sounds...
Ok, Long Story Short...
Did The Microphone break during the testing of
The 96 inch 6 speed Air Cooled Up-Grade...???
Any Input on this???
BTW, The program was very interesting, and renewed my respect for the V-ROD... Altho, it's a great looking bike
just too small for my fat azz...
Sure would like to see a prg. like that on the 96-6...
Most impressive thing about that show was the endurance test on the motor, had to run at redline(9k) for 400 hours straight!!! And it did with no breakdown. Still looks like and really is a metric, so its not that impressive when you compare it to a 1000 cc R1 or GSXR, they just kill it dead in horsepower and speed and 40% cheaper.
