Default Removing radio

I want to put an aux cable on for my sirius radio. I want to run the cable down the handlebars & in the fairing & then back out around the radio & have it plug into the aux port in front of radio. How the heck do you get the radio out, ive had the fairing off several times & it looks kinda complicated to remove, lots of wires & such....

Why do you want to do all of that? The Sirius radio will broadcast to FM.

Radio is simple to remove, 4 mounting screws and unplug!

I know sirius broadcasts on fm but the reception is horrible, its sounds much better thru the aux port on radio. I just want to clean up my install a little by running the aux cable in the fairing & then back out side of radio. Do you just remove the 2 bolts on each side of the black bracket & pull the radio out, Its hard to get in there with all the wires & such in the way. Anyone have a step by step procedure on doing this, with pictures.

Remove the outer fairing and then remove two allen head bolts on each side of the radio. Best to use a long ball end hex tool. And there are holes in the fairing support that you can use to reach the hard ones. Yes you will have to move wires out of the way to get it done. It's daunting but do-able.

When I had an xm on the handle bar I got a foot long 1/8" stereo audio cable from radio shack and ran it down the handle bar and tie wraped it there. It was run in a why that no one noticed it. It didn't look bad at all.

Once in a while, you get the station bleed. Hardwiring to aux is the best way to go. The reason you got the sat was to not have to hear Casey Kasom's top ten count down over and over again in a sunday ride through multiple radio areas, isn't it? Removing the radio is no big deal compared!
