New Ride
Just graduated from metric and picked up an 04 RK w/4600 miles. The last bike I will ever need. It appears the original owner did a LOT of work. Tried to locate him to get all the info, only to find out he was in his 80's, rich, had 15 + bikes, and has likely passed from cancer by now . I spoke with the shop that did the maintenance (the 5k was done in 2008 at 4011 miles with synthetic), they are familiar with the previous owner, but never did any custom work outside of an auto adjuster. I have on this beauty SE pipes, chrome front, chrome oil filter, oil cooler pump, inlaid gas cap, Westach gauge, heated grips and what not. Is there an easy way to tell about any internal upgrades he may have done? Also, I have not tracked down where the oil temp sensor is, but it always seems to ride between 270 - 300 degrees. I know they run hot, it that too hot? Also, any advice from other RK owners?

Just picked up a 2011 RKC. After putting 500 miles on it since Thursday I'm feeling the same thing. I am still in shock at how well it handles and rides compared to my softie. Now I know what I've been missing!
