On my 06 ElectraGlide I had a 8" windsheild and it was perfect, so when I got my 2010 SG I ordered a 8" sheild and hated the drive home, for some reason these new bikes sit lower so I ended up with the stock 4" sheild, a 6" wouls probably work but I've got use to it by now.

Just a FYI i'm 5'11" with 30" inseam . The shield works great for me .
