Default Highway peg recommendations

Hi there

I recently purchased an 09 Electra Glide Ultra Classic and it has a real basic set of highway pegs fitted to the engine guard. I wear 36/30 Levis and I'm about 5'9" and the my toes just touch the footpegs. I'd need to be sitting on about the first 1/4 of the tank for my feet to be comfortable on them.

I'm happy to buy whatever but need some advice on what forum users are using or prefer. I've been looking at these on eBay and like the look of the first one listed. I want to be able to fold up the footpegs and don't want them in the way when not in use.

Cheers

Take a look at these:

http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/495...set-Peg-Mounts

My wife is 5'4 and she has these on her softail. They are similar to the second link you have from Harley but I believe this is a bit longer. The Harley and the Kuryakyn hardware looks surprisingly similar and I would suspect they are crafted by the same factory.

I have the second on your list and they are very versatile. I believe mine are a 2" offset but can also be had in 4".

Here is the short-armed model as in your second link. I think they might do well for you. I have a 31 inch inseam and am pleased with them.

Hi there

Can anyone please tell me if the footpegs (any style) fold up at right angles to the arm that they attach to when not in use. Or what's the best way to have them out of the way when not needed?

Cheers

I have the same arms as Pastor John. Yes, they fold up.

Conmore, here's how I ride with them most of the time - folded up and out of the way.
