So i have been runnin Bassani Sweeper exhaust on my 07 roadglide for the past 3 years. They look cool, they have a killer sound and they are not seen on bikes alot.
The bad news, i have burned multiple jeans from the front exhaust. Unless i sit with my right heel on the far outside edge of the floorboard i end up with an eventual hole in my right pant leg just below the knee area on the inner leg.
I started lookin at other exhaust options the last couple of days. I am likin the Vance and Hines Big Shot Duals in Black
Gota say, ive only seen that exhaust in chrome and never liked it but the way you have it set up it looks killer. First thing I always put on are the floorboard extensions to get my feet away from the bike a bit. You may already have them. Do you like the sound your getting from the sweepers? If so, keep them because you may start the dreaded exhaust search all over again. Goin to the big shots would give you a more traditional look i guess. I have heard a couple sets of big shot duals and 1 sounded pretty good where as the other sounded like a metric bike. im guessing it was all in the tune.
Have you thought about installing floorboard extensions?
I have not put extensions on. How far away from the bike do they move the boards?
My concern is i "chopped" my rear pedal in half to allow for some space to move my foot and with movin them out it might not allow easy access to the rear brake pedal
As for the exhaust hunt, i have rhinehart true duals on my roadking and im likin the vance and hines if i choose to take these off the bike anytime soon....
id still like a pic of those vance and hines on a roadglide if anyone has them...
