Anyone know if these can be rekeyed to match my ignition, or do I just need to order new locks from Zanotti? I've called two locksmiths and neither was able to do it.
Dealer or locksmith? My dealer says its impossible...they also said it was impossible to put a street glide fairing on a road glide...needless to say, I don't have a lot of faith in them..
Probably going to need to order them. I bought a pair of locks, keyed to my ignition, at the dealer for around 50 bucks. Both locks came with 2 keys. (So you'll have plenty of 'spare' keys, if you do it this way...)
A locksmith needs to have the barrel machine to do it, my quote was $25-$30 for the locksmith so I ordered from Zanotti's, send them your 4 digit key code and they will match them up.
they may have changed lock styles , about 4 years ago I bought a used set of bags and had a locksmith re key them to match my bike , on my 2011 I ordered a Tour Pak and dealer ordered the wrong lock for it , I took it to the same locksmith and it was the same barrel style lock and he said this one was not rekeyable because they used a solid cylinder , the older style have a pin in the side of the cylinder and can be rekeyed , look at the side see if it has a brass pin or is it solid all the way around

Thanks guys! I have several locks here, I think 5...two sets and one that was on a bag I bought, so I was hoping to have them rekeyed just so I didn't have them sitting around. I'll order a set from Zanotti I think they're $33 a lock keyed to my ignition.
For what its worth, local Stealer wanted $85 for a set, without keys. I don't need the keys, and the price isn't horrible considering I'll have to pay shipping from Zanotti, but I just refuse to spend money there...they tried to convince me I didn't need new locks, but the $1800 keyless lock kit....that needs special locks anyway...thinking of moving just so I don't have to deal with them anymore...lol
