Ok, I know it's a Softail but you guys deal with stereos alot more than us. Sorry for another amplifier question but I've been reading thread after thread on stereo upgrades and I'm getting a headache.
I recently installed a front fairing from Reckless Motorcycles. I absolutely love it. It just seams like the sound could be a little bit better. I'm currently running a BOSS MR1420S marine deck (60wx4) pushing 2 Infinity 6912M 300w 6x9's. (300w max/ 100w ea.) I'm wondering if I would benefit from installing an amp. It sounds pretty loud as it is, just doesn't seem to have as much bass as I thought it would. Does anyone know where I can find an amp that will run 100w x 4 Rms without breaking the bank?? I'd like to keep the 4ch so I can add 2 more speakers later if I decide to do the fiberglass bags. Any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry for yet another stereo thread...
Nothing is going to give you bass the speakers are just too small with little air space and the best we all can hope for is good highs, good mid range and a little bass
The speakers are just too small
That said, an amp will definitely boost your sound quality
