When I tried the t-max with auto-tune setup on my 2007 it was around $1400.00 plus installation. After it left me stranded on a road trip I demanded my money back and re-installed the stock ECM with no additional problems for the remainder of the time I owned that bike. I will NEVER recommend Zippers products to anyone.

Have had my T-max on for 4-years now, no problems at all, pro's are it is not a piggy-backed system, you
do not need to dyno your bike, you can change or add things and it will auto-adjust, con's are it is
expensive, will probably void your warranty, don't quote me on that one, if you search you will find alot
of threads on this subject, good luck with your choice and remember there are alot of things that can
leave you stranded, do another search on shift lever linkage.

I agree. Tons of stuff can leave you stranded. Buy one, you will not regret it. I always keep m y stock ECM with me as a just in case. Really it takes up minimal room. Call or email Dr. Vtwin(sponsor here) and he will give you a smokin price. I think I was under 800 with overnight shipping in there as well. Tons of stuff you can do with the thing. Read the manual and ride. I chose it because I don't want to fiddle with things all the time. I just want to ride. Select a base map, ride it to tune, then automap once a month. Love it

I have it on my 2011 bike and love it. It is expensive though, about $ 900 plus install. The good thing is that you do not need any tuning if you change anything on the bike.

Everyone always says these things are "auto tune." Yet in the next breath they are talking about downloading maps and needing a lap top computer to get the thing to work. If you need a computer to make it work, it ain't auto tune. I've never figured this out. It's either plug and play or it is not. Does it need a computer to get it to work?

Is that a typo??? Where did you find one for $1400??? Mine was around $800 new from a guy on the forum. I can't imagine why you wouldn't just install it yourself.. Anyway, 20k miles and no problems. I like it.

Yes. It will automatically adjust the injectors to maintain a certain AFR for a given RPM and throttle position. It is a machine and therefore cannot guess where you want that AFR to be. That is where the computer and maps come in.

One more negative about it - it has no knock sensor. The factory ecm uses the coil as a knock sensor. The TMAT does not. I love mine, though.

I've had a TM/Auto tune on my 06 FLHTCI since 08. About 30,000 miles now and I love it. I like being able to hook it up to the computer and check how my motor has been running.....
