You can find the 90degree at Radio Shack or ebay but the straight connector is the hard one. Only place I've found the straight is audiogear.com and I went ahead and ordered 3 of each piece because they charge $10-12 shipping and I couldn't justify that much shipping for just a $5.50 order. You might have to call them and give them the item information rather than wade thru pages and pages of electronic stuff.

Here's the info for the male to male straight

3 (ADPT-MSMMSM) Mini Plug Adapter, $3.59 $10.77
Stereo Mini Plug to Stereo Mini
Plug
* Weight: 0.05 lbs. each

Here's the info on the 90 degree if you choose to get it from them.

3 (ADPT-MSFMSMRTANG) Audio Adapter Right $1.99 $5.97
Angle Stereo Mini Plug
* Weight: 0.03 lbs. each

Good luck.

No one mentioned these folks (unless I missed it): http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/ipodcableforharley.html

Send'em your radio & for $105, they have the ipod cable hooked up. The idea is, you kick off your playlist through the ipod - but you control the sound through the native HD handlebar control.

Yes, these items are ALL way overpriced. But - they know they "got us" - so they can charge us these prices. At least until someone makes a more inexpensive solution. Comparable devices/cables for other applications cost far less - under $100 for the "control box" and cable combined. There is a lot of profit being made for these things. Who knows - maybe when I get back to the states, I'll find a cheap control box that works with the HK radio & make my own solution - but that's at least 6 months away...if I do - this'll be the first place I inform.

You ain't kidding about the male to male adapter being hard to find. Went by two radio shacks, best buy, micro center, funky monkey (musicians store) and no male to male. May try guitar center tomorrow?

Thanks for the info and part numbers will probably be ordering on line.

Ok - for those of you that have and are using the iPod interface - anyone experiencing an issue where you select a playlist, it starts playing, you listen for a while, then stop somewhere, shut off bike, come back later, start up, and it is no longer on that playlist anymore?

It seems mine is not staying on the playlist I selected after I shut-off bike and then start up again.

i don't mess with playlists, but i can say that sometimes after shutting the bike down and coming back, instead of being on the song that it was on, it starts over at the very first song (alphabetically). other times, even overnight, it picks up right where it left off. someone said that you should turn the radio off before shutting your bike down, but i tried that and it didn't make a difference.

either way, i don't consider it a 'problem' as i have over 1100 songs on my ipod and it's set on shuffle anyway. if it's on the first song, i just flick the up button, and change it if i don't want to hear that song.

but, i have not been able to figure out any type of correlation as to why it does what it does.

Did you check the max volume in your settings? I was having the same problem and mine was set at 50%.

Blask,
I will "check" that, but when using the interface cable - those settings are all disabled at the iPod - which is different when using the standard 3.5mm line out type hook up into the aux jack.

My bad. Missed that you were using the interface and not the 3.5 line. Guess I should've picked that up from the title. Duh.
