I've been searching all over the internet looking for a I-Pod interface like the one Boom Sells for the HK radio which is way over priced has anyone found any other companies that make the same interface I really don't want to use the 3.5 mm jack . Thanks
Thanks for the link I just got back into town and E mailed the company for some more information will post the install if I buy it which more then likely I will .
It's probably just me, but I think these cables are way over-priced. The Boom Audio one is four bills, the other one is three. Just doesn't seem like there's all that much to 'em.

they aren't just 'cables'. there is a brain box that hooks into your hd radio so that it becomes an integral part of your 'advanced audio system'. the track information displays on the faceplate of the radio, you can use soft keys to select playlists, genre, artists, etc, you can control the volume and select tracks with your handlebar switches (okay, i know you can control the volume with or without the interface), and it will keep your ipod continually charged.
having the song data go through the data cable vs the headphone jack also gives better sound quality.
yes, i thought the interface was kind of expensive. but i wanted it anyway. i got it from one of the discounters at $369.00, including the non ultra overlay harness and shipping, which is still high, but less than 4 bills. throw in the $100 chrome cash that i had from my credit card and it came to $269.00 out of pocket. i've wasted more money than that on other things that were not near as useful.
If you dont mind tossing the HK and going aftermarket, try this one. I have it and its nice. Coupled with the bikeronics kit and the handlebar controls will work
skratch, you're right, they are more than just cables. Still seems like a lot of loot. But, I will say that it would be cool to have the bar controls and especially the charging functionality.

it is. i hate to be 'that guy' who says 'it's a $20k bike, whats another $399'.... but, there are worse things to spend your money on....

Don't think I would call this an interface but here's what I use. Of course it means using the 3.5 jack but it does do away with any cables hanging around. Volume control works on handlebars but no song info shows on radio. Just a small piece of velcro on the dash and the back of the ipod and everything is stable.
