A fellow joined our "Riding club" a few years back.... nice guy, on a Honda VFR750. He got to talking bikes, and tires etc, and pointed at his front tire, and explained how he used the entire front tread, while us cruiser types did not..... he then turned to MY bike as an example.... coughed, and turned to another... then another, etc, and then said... hmm maybe I oughts just shut up... not a "chicken stripe" to be seen.
I moved from 09 Fat Bob to the Road Glide Ultra and at first thought I might have made a mistake but the more I rode the Ultra the more I asked why I didn't do it sooner. Have yet to drag anything on this bike when I had actually scraped the lower pipe on the Bob. For my .02 you wont regret making the switch and will enjoy the ride.
I went from 06 Streetbob to 11 RGC recently and thought I would really miss the Bob for the handling. After 5000 miles I dont miss it at all. Great handling bike.
