Thanks for the feedback! I love police RKs. My third and been happy with all of them. I found this at a dealer as a demo model 6 months ago with 12 miles on the odometer.
what are some of the common problems with FLHP'S when you get them from the police dept without a dealer involved getting it preped for sale.
Other than having the mechanicals checked, I think the biggest issue is the wiring. Be sure to get the supplemental service manual for the police bikes so that you have an accurate wiring diagram.
Thanks I bought one 08 FLHP and having problems with clutch slipping in 5th and 6th gear cant find any other problems.I have adjusted the cable and clutch just havent found that sweet spot yet,I dont think it is there going to replace the cable first then replace the clutch it only has 11000 miles on it love the 103 be glad when I get this clutch issue fixed need to add to those miles hard to get back on my night train after riding the RK.Thanks again David
Most dealers remove the siren and lights. Mine was purchased from a friend(police officer) so it was a private owner. It came with covers for the lights and siren. I removed the lights but kept the siren. Much loader then the stock horn.I just use the yelp for a horn.
I tried the mustang seat but returned it. The stitching was off center in the rear and the seat was not nearly as comfortable as the stock which is on a steel pan versus fiberglass. The Utopia backrest is large and adds lots of support.
Lookin good. How do you remove your right saddlebag now?
Does the cam and stage two really make a huge difference? Iam pretty impressed with the stage one download on my 09 FLHP but Iam just a cam away from stage two.
Hi guys. Im owner of 2009 FHLP and i bought it with all the lights (side led, passing, and back lights at tourpack) and also the siren. The siren works perfect but the lights Dow not respond to the switch (aux-purse). They do not light at all.
I want to ask if there is any modules or any other parts that make the job of flashing pursuit mode. Ill appreciate if anyone knows the part numbers also. Thank you in advance.
WOW! I just bought a 2009 FLHP. She needs some TLC so I'm going to spend the winter doing so. I have those pucks on the saddlebags. Not sure if I want to keep them or ditch them. Your solution looks amazing! A few questions for you.
#1 - What product did you replace the pucks with? I've seen lots of complaints about some products not working, etc.
#2 - I see you moved the air reservoir to the saddlebag. I want to do that too. Was the hose long enough or did you need to buy some? Was it easy to detach and reinsert?

Thanks for any and all advice. Great job!
I did that project over 10 years ago, amazing you found the post, lol! I believe I got the push button releases from eglidegoodies.com back then. The hose is easy to attach and you can buy it by the foot at home improvement centers.
