Default SE 204 Cams

I was checking prices on the SE 204 cams on Zanotti HD web site. When I put in the part number it comes back as a cam kit. Does anyone know what comes with the kit besides the cam?

When I read"Kit" I was hoping they threw in gaskets, inner cam bearings or something to make my day..

Nope, that's all you get. If you're doing this, I'd recommend the SE inner cam bearings (Timken B148's). Go through the top, reuse stock pushrods and save your money without having to buy adjustables. Not that much harder.

I was thinking of doing that exact thing. At Zanotti's I can get the 204 cams and bearings + shipping for around $280

Yeah, I got my 204's from Zanotti's for $254.43 back in November (no bearings). I think you will really like the 204's. A great bolt in cam.

Excellent cams and good advice from Dawg. I had 204s in my Road King (95") and they were superb on low end torque and gave excellent mileage as well.

If you used a 0.030 head gasket, can you still reuse the stock pushrods or do you need to go with adjustables?

If the selected cam has the same base circle as the cam being replaced, you can use the stock pushrods. The difference between the compressed stock head gasket and the .030" MLS Cometic is about .012", IIRC. The lifter plunger travel is .200", so assuming the stock pushrod used to sit at .100" of lifter plunger travel leaving .100" for lifter operation, the pushrod now sits at.112" of lifter plunger travel, leaving .088" for lifter operation which is plenty.
