Default Your Opinions Are Requested And Valued...

I recently purchased a 2004 RKC and I'm about to start on its transformation and value the opinions of others, especially since most of you have gone leaps and bounds from stock. I like the look of tieing the black in from the motor, seat and bags throughout the bike, but not doing a full black out as I'm trying to keep a nostalgic look.

My idea as of now is to do 16" chrome apes, black mirrors, black levers, black controls, black and chrome grips and black cables. Tips on exhuast black. 21x3 DNA Mammoth Spoke front wheel with whitewall tire.

My main question is what do you guys think the all black on the chrome bars is going to look like? Or should I leave mirrors and levers chrome and only break it with black controls and cables? There's so many variations that my mind is spinning in circles.

Let the thoughts and honest opinions fly! Oh and anyone with pics please post!

Sounds like a good combo. Of course it really only has to please you. I had a black and white Softail Deluxe, bought it because of the old school or classic look. Then I added about as much chrome as I could. I really liked black against chrome. And always had people around the bike everywhere I parked. But- I'm sure some thought it was too much chrome, but I liked it.

I think breaking it up a bit would look good imo. Sounds like you have a good plan. She'll turn out beautifully.

It's your bike it's your vision it's your ideas. It is what ever you want regardless of what you do or how you do it. There will always be criticism. At the end it has to make you happy not anyone else. Good luck
