Has anyone's bike that doesn't have a 103 went into 'limp' mode? I suspect so because I was told it was a thought rectified problem with the '09's....still the only people I know personally having the problem have the 103.
Mine did it at 900 miles then last week at about 7k. The first time they greased the ecm connectors and this time they flashed the ecm. Even the service manager thought doing that was BS but claims for the code it was showing its the fix the MOCO recommends.
I'll roll with it one more time but right off the bat they replaced my friends connectors with gold ones....mine does it again they're gonna replace something, even if it's wrong
I hope it's not a 103 thing. I just bought one & have 2000 miles on it. My 09 EG Classic did it though, at around 15K miles. If both our definitions of "limp mode" are the same: Running down the road it went into this limp mode. Engine still running, but no throttle. Only enough power to get down the road a little, and then over to the shoulder. Shut it down for 10 seconds or so. Then fire it back up, and it could be fine for another 2 months, or might do it again, a mile down the road. Mine was some kind of corrosion in a harness. It's a warranty thing.
Mine did it on two different occasions. After long battle with the dealer, they ended up replacing the ECM and blaming the problem on the PCV. So, they charged me for a ECM download and told me to remove the PCV. Now it runs like crap!

That's a dealer that would NEVER get another dime of my money!
Find a good indy, F 'em!
My '08 with a 103 has never had a prob. Is it a specific year?
