I just took the lowers off (it has been hot here) and noticed the front tire seems to be making a lot of noise. I'm not sure if it just started or has been doing this all along and the lowers were redirecting the sound. The first day I rode without the lowers I didn't notice it. I can kinda feel it too, but maybe that's because I can hear it now. Sounds kinda like I have a snow tire on the front.
By the way the tire is new (about 700 miles) and I did check to make sure the shop put it on in the right direction. It gets worse when I lean it to either side.
Any thoughts? Is this normal? Could it be a wheel bearing?
My 08 ultra classic does the same thing. I thought it was the wheel bearing but I've checked it over and over and it seams all good. I don't know what it could be. good luck.
I don't think the lowers redirecting the sound as much as they blocking the sounds. Tires will make sounds seem louder on hot pavement compared to roadways in cooler weather. Asphalt has a different sound than that of riding on concrete. You will notice these sound more with the lowers off.

New tire on front here to. Dulop / HD version. (402?)
Getting noise at like 45 mph going around bends. Have 1000 mikes on it and it's quieting down. Another "normal" condition.. Sounds like a high pitched wheel bearing gone bad
