If you want accurate, this gauge will fit the bill.

Check into a Mustang seat. It should put you back at least an inch. Mustang also has a driver backrest available.

Look into the HD detachable sissy bar with pad. Easy on, easy off. I have an accessory book, so let me know if you need part numbers.
Just visualizing JonW how this can work if the shifter /brake levers are still in the same place? Won't you have to lift your foot everytime you have to actuate something?Dene

Before that I had a CVO seat and it work great for lowering. Cant help you with gauge and tour pack as I dont have those. Good luck.
You're getting some good info from everyone.

I have been using the Harley Goodies extensions for years...they make a difference.

Highway pegs on the crash bar will definitely increase your comfort. Especially ones that are adjustable on the fly. Check em out!

heres my question. I look up the tallboy seat on HD site and it says it will use a rider backrest but there is no cut in the seat for it so I am lost. I need a backrest as I have L3-S1 fused in my spine. The floor boards kit I will check into.

Well, you have to lift your foot anyway to actuate the brake pedal. On the shifter side, I just leave my toe under the shift lever and upshift as needed. When it comes time to downshift, I have to move my foot, yes. I don't use a heel shifter on this bike.

That's another thing. I'm trying to get my head around a heel shifter. Having to lift your foot up, move it way back to shift when you can just leave it in one place and do both is what makes sense to me. I seem to think that my right foot pretty well stays in the same place when braking also.

I'm 6'2 and have used the tallboy seat on a couple of bikes. Its got a really deep bucket so never needed a back rest. Your HD oil temp gauge should be fine. I will not use digital gauges ever again. Too much trouble with them in the past.

Congrats on becoming a member of the touring class & I have same 34" inseam. HarleyGoodies 1" extenstions worked fine for me + added HD short-angle pegs to crash bar. Enjoy & ride safe!

Another thing you may wanna consider the extended shifter arms too, helped me a lot with my big feet. Gives you an extra 1 or 1.5" ON both. Made a big difference for me. I got the Sundownmer seat which is a bit deeper and gives a bit more room too.
Ride safe.
