I have Screaming Eagle Slip-ons and I have a squeaking baffle in the left pipe. The model # of my pipes is 64926-99 "not for road use". I have finally tracked down my source, now I'm not sure how to fix it.
I tried putting a tack weld on the outside end of the baffle, but it didn't help. If I shake the pipe, I can hear something small like rust particles rolling around, and I can't shake them out.
Anyone else experience this? were you able to fix it?
I would cut the weld beads that hold the baffle in with a dremel or something similar. Then remove the baffle, clean out the pipe then either reinstall baffle or replace with Full sac or something similar. you can just drill a hole in the bottom and install a simple pop rivet or something similar!
