Tuners?
Here what I have, 2012 Street Glide 103, with stage 1, Cobra 4in slips on, I want to cut the cat out and use the stock header pipe, my question is this; Will the ECM be alright with the cat cut out? I will be putting the O2s back in the stock holes. Tons on information here Thanks to all!
Exactly and everyone has thier own preferences. I prefer the TTS as I know how to use it. This tuner can save your original base map, before any modifications are done and that's a plus. Iclick has switched over to the new Powervision and can provide more information on it and what it can or cannot do as we run the same cams. Iclick recommended the the 255's to me and I am not sorry for my choice.
It is very simple to select a base map and then V-Tune with the TTS if you follow the directions and have a laptop. From what I have read, the Powervision can do the same thing along with the optional auto tune module that the TTS does not need (I do my own tweaks). Good luck with your choices and perhaps Iclick can help more with your choice. Best part is with either unit, it can be setup and run right without wasting money on a dyno. Thank you for your service!

I have the SE Super tuner for my Rocker but decided to go with the Dynojet Power Vision with the Touch screen tuner for my Ultra Classic. I only had it a little over a month. It only has slip on pipes now but I can tell it is running way to lean. This winter I will rebuild it to a 107CI myself, change cams, pipes and air intake. I will be able to do all the changes myself without paying a dealer each time I change something.

one thing that no one has mentioned yet. the sert doesn't exist anymore. make sure that you and your dealer are on the same page. hd has a 'street tuner' that will maintain your factory warranty, but does not tune your bike outside of epa restrictions. the pro tuner will be able to enrichen your af mixture where you will be running cooler, but 'technically' it is for race applications only, is not epa compliant, and can (depends on dealer) void your warranty.
i know you mentioned that you didn't mind spending the money, but the dealer is gonna want to do a dyno tune on your bike, probably costing $300 or more. if you go with a fuel moto option, you will get a tune, preloaded, that will be probably 98%, without having to go with a dyno.
you've got a lot of options to think about, and really, what it all boils down to is, do you like it? are you comfortable with it? does your tuner (person) like it/know how to properly tune it (if you choose to go with a tune).
good luck over there, get your *** back home safe. where in tx are you coming home to: ft hood or ft bliss?

Thank you for your service. Stay safe and get home soon. My only recommendation is that whatever you decide make sure that whoever your wrench is that they are knowledgeable about your tuner. I have ThunderMax w/autotune and know one in the area knows anything about them so I have to depend on the forum for help.
Thanks for all the post, some great info here and you've given me some stuff to ask about. Still not sure what to go with and need to figure out what the price will be before I make up my mind. Anymore info will help. Another big key for me is that I do have one year of warranty left and dont want to mess that up.
Thanks for all the words to get home safe. We finished our last official mission and now its just cleaning up and waiting for the plane

@ skratch Is this what your talking about? screamin’ eagleŽ street Performance tuner Kit. Found this on the website. I want to know what to ask my dealer about. It says that it can adjust the fuel air mixture, but can not adjust the following: throttle, spark, RPM limit, Idle, accel and decel enrichment. Based on this I know I want the bike a little richer to help with the heat (texas summers are almost as hot as here in Iraq, well not quite, been 125 for the past 20 days) other than that im not trying to make the fastest bike on the road, i can buy a crotch rocket for that they are always cheap around hood with all the deployments. Thanks again
God Bless the Troops and wish you a speedy safe trip home as well !
My 02 Ultra had a PCIIIusb on it when I bought it.
Added 203 SE cams when checking tensioners and they needed replacing , hence the cam upgrade.
Took it to a tuner near Vancouver BC and ended up with 70hp and 76ft of torque. The owner of the shop had my bike in on and tuned in under an hour.... Ran well and I enjoyed it .
Rode for a couple more seasons and upgraded to the 95'' when I decided to add the SE Pro-tuner that dyno took 5 hours and $495.oo.
I do not like the results of 85 hp and 93 ft.pounds of torque. She runs warmer than it did as an 88'' and less fuel mileage.
So, my advice to you is get the PCV from Fuel Motto or any other retailer and have it tuned.
Ride and enjoy the results and should you feel the SE Pro tuner is really needed you can recoup more of the cost by selling the PCV and then buy the Pro tuner as it will be married to your bike via the ecm.
Either way, it is your bike and your money to spend as you wish.
Hope the long winded opine doesnt bore you to tears.
