Default Shifting Arm

I have a 2008 Ultra and the shifting arm that is behind the primary case has worn out and flopping around on the shaft. The bolt was tight as H3LL and I got it broke loose and tried to tighten it down and it was a no go.
I have it all apart and I'm ordering a SE compensator while I have it apart, but I haven't seen anyone else post this as a problem. Anybody had this problem? It only has 17k on it and I got it used from a stealer with 14k on it.

07 SG... I had two of them replaced under warranty within 2 yrs then on the 3rd I put in a forged steel lever from CCI. I think the OEM lever is compressed steel, not forged and its softer than it should be.

This problem is more common than you might think.

Had the same problem last year at 29K. Somone on the forum recommended replacing the allen head bolt with a grade 8 hex bolt. Put on some blue locktite and tightened it down with a socket. Have not had a problem since. Did the same onthe linkage up front.

once it comes loose it usually wears the knurl on the shaft, any first time customer at my indy gets the grade 8 bolt treatment(he hates replacing those shafts)

I found that at 4K miles on my RKC the shift lever was loose, and ever
couple of mo. I try to remember to check the side to side play.
But if I ever have to replace mine!
