I have a 2011 Road King and I want to change the bars. I want something as wide as stock but just about 2 inched higher.I would like to use stock cables and wiring if possible. I know everyone says use the Heritage bars which I did but they seemed to narrow for my taste.
Any suggestions? Thanks
I was looking for the same, but with wanting to keep the stock cables, the selection is VERY limited.
I went ahead with the heritage-style bars. Originally I had them pushed forward (like apes, aligned with the fork angle) they felt pretty narrow. However when I dropped them down a bit (so they're more pull back), they're a great fit.
This has always been a popular topic so the Admin posted a 'sticky' dedicated just to handlebars at the top of Page 1 - Touring Section. Take a look at what other riders are saying about quite a few bars in that thread.
