I have an 07 street glide and my odometer won't switch to the trip meter when I push the button. It has kinda always acted up but I was always able to get it to switch. Now it wont at all. Is it the black push botton that is screwed up? Any advice from someone that has had this problem would be great. Thanks
I would unplug the spade connectors, clean them up and put a little dialectic grease on them. If that didn't work I'd replace the switch. I think it is $12.00 or so.
Push the switch in and out several times to see if that helps. It's very likely the switch. I don't know if disconnecting the battery would help or not.
the only problem i ever had on my 07 was that switch. got it replaced under warranty. it's around $17.00 for the part (iirc).
in my case, what would happen was that the bike would go into diagnostic mode when i started it up. the speedo needle would sweep all the way to the right, then fall back down to the left. then the leds in the odometer would be flashing. turned out to be the switch, it had failed in the 'on' position so the bike thought i wanted to put it into diagnostics every time i started it.
I had to replace the switch on my 2007 Ultra about 2 years ago. The rubber cover on the button started falling apart this year and I had to replace it too. I would suggest that you replace both. They are cheap. The switch was less than $10 and the cover was $2 something. The new switch came with two crimp style butt connectors. Easy fix.

I replaced my switch last year because of the same issue. No probs since
