I bought a 2001 FLHPI a couple months ago and absolutely love it. bought it with 6,868 and now i am a few short miles away from 9,500. about 2 weeks ago a bunch of buddies and i went on a small ride. most of them have choppers or single seat set ups, so i had the pleasure of having one of my friends smoking hot girlfriends as my passenger. everything was going great but after the ride she complained that the bag guards were digging into her calf's. So, me being one to please, plus i like the look of not having a guard, i made the swap. I found a mint set on ebay for $114.95 (includes shipping)
before
after
plus this gave me the drive to paint my slip-ons since there was some surface rust that was really bothering me

No matter how hot they are, somebody, somewhere, is sick of their crap. Now you know why your buddy has a bike with a solo seat.
