i had the stock shocks (shitty), i had bitchin baggers 11" shocks (these were actually pretty good, and i loved the look but wanted better handling), and progressive 940 (decent shock, but just too stiff for me solo, and even with the wife on the back it was a little stiff and not what i expected)
so called howard today, and im getting ready to make a decision and order a set of Ohlins.
im thinking the #2 - #2 (a)
you're going to fall in love with! These "babies" changed our life on the road!
You will need few kilometers to find the good adjustmement and after... Say welcome to your "new bike" and let's go for the good time!
I just got 2-2B's mounted on mine. Ride is downright sweet. I've only run about 50 miles since install; I find myself aiming for rough areas of the road and smiling at how smooth it is.
I hope you are as happy with your ohlin's as I am. I am not sure my wife would still be riding with me without Howard's help.
I told him the load they were going to be carrying and what I expected. He sent the shocks and insisted I call him to walk me through the install, even though it seemed easy enough for me and it was on Saturday.
I know there is some adjustment on these shocks, but I have no reason to try. I am more than happy with them just as he sent them to me.
Just put the Ohlins 3-3s on my RG. Love them so far, and I'm still breaking them in. They ride so much smoother and handle the expansion joints much better. I've got low back disc issues and with the Ohlins I've noticed much less wear and tear on the back too. The Ohlins really put the Glide in the Road Glide. Great product and truly makes a big difference to your bike.
