At least now, you have a scooter you can take in the store with ya. I have a kid, that is currently sporting some internal, bolt on hardware, so can understand what ur going thru. Heal quickly, and good luck !!
Keep up the spirit and heal quick! With all that space in the vegi isle, you could set up an obatacle course and keep your skills up on the scooter!!!
I had a pinned collarbone for a while after a crash years ago. When they went to remove it, X-Ray's showed that it had actually bent. As a result, they could not reverse-drill it out and simply cut a little slice in the skin above where it was screwed in from, clamped a pair of VISE-GRIPs on it and PULLED it out!
Lucky 02, I feel your pain. I have recently received a few plates and screws in my pelvis due to a cage making a left in front of me. Spent almost a month in the hospital. Just getting back to riding after 6 months.
Hope you heal ASAP. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to make you the recipient of that hardware?
