Default Question regarding powdercoating

What parts can you powdercoat on a motorcycle? I understand that temperature is a consideration as some parts get too hot. I just bought a 2001 sportster for the OL and it shows some signs of wear/tear. I posted this on the sportster forum, but they were not much help ( and neither was the local dealer ). She wants to have the rims and forks done. I think this is doable but what have you guys had done? A small list of parts that could be powdercoated would help a lot. Thanks fellas.

Rims and forks are doable - I've PC'd just about everything on a few different bikes except exhaust...I'm sure you coud probably do that as well. Never a problem with anything - front end parts (sliders, covers, etc.), turn signals, air covers, floor boards, engine guard, brake/clutch levers and the list goes on -

Just be sure to find a quality powder coater who knows what they are doing so yhat the parts turn out right.

Call these guys. http://www.classicturning.com/index....r-capabilities

The "hard coat" is awesome. They are in my home town and I know a few guys that work there.

Rims and forks are no problem. They do have to be torn down though.
