Default Going APE!!!

Just picked up a set of Santee 1.25" Swedged bagger apes, cables, brake line and fluids. Ordered my HD service manual which won't be here to the end of next week as well as my buddy who has done this before. However, I am not the most patient person in the world. I just had to see how the were going to feel. So after reading a few threads here, I popped the ignition and switch cover off and took the old bars off with the risers. I then reinstalled the new bars for a test fit.

I was worried that they maybe to big, as I went back and forth several times on the size. After sitting on my buddies E-glide with the same bars I went with the 17"ers. The y fit perfect so far! Right about even to a little below shoulder height, even kicked back on the highway pegs. Hope to have it out by next weekend!!

New to bagger apes, but looking and wanted to know if those actually measure 17" top of bars when mounted? what height do they measure to grips from mounting?

They measure 17 from the cross bar to the top bend on the bars. I already tore everything back down so I will have to get you the other measurement after I put them back on.

Bars are on and wiring is done! Took me longer to put the wire connecters back together than it did to run the wire through the bars. Used 20lb fishing line and greased'm up real good and slid right through.
