Sure like to see some pics. Wheres some good places to stay/see besides the obvious? Were going the week after and figuring on staying in Deadwood. Hope it doesnt live up to its name, and hopefully the crowd will be gone. Were doing a 17 day trip out of Calif to Sturgis, Glacier, Oregon to the coast and back home.
Oh....you'll be in GOOD shape.
The Knuckle Saloon is open year round, and the riding is top notch. You are actually coming at the BEST time!
Here is a little taste of the hills, we were there last year during part of the rally. We are starting to enjoy going the week before and then leaving about the first weekend of the Rally that way we get a little taste of it.
Looks like you hit up the stone house saloon out on highway 34 outside of Belle Fourche.
Rode by there Saturday. Had a band out there jammin'.....they were probably wondering where YOU were! Lots of guy's and gals throwin 'em back and having a HELL of a good time!
What a cool *** place! My sig pic below is just past there, heading for Hulett on Saturday....we missed ya!
Yup,
That was Stone House, who would think a old farm house in a field would be a neat place to hang out but it sure is. There was a guy from Texas playing some decent music when we was there, the wife even bought his CD.
When we go to Hulett, we have been taking the long way which is 212 out of Belle Fourche up to Alzada, MT then hang a left between the gas station & bar and go to Hulett.
The Black Hills are one of those favorite places the wife and I never grow tired of visiting; Rally or no Rally.
It's hard to believe that it's been a year since I went. Next time I go I think I'll do a little bit more pre-rally riding though. It's such fantastic country to ride through.
