I know a girl who rides an 2008 electra glide police model. She puts on about 25,000 miles per year and needed front rotors . I bought her a set of 10 button floating front rotors. Nothing special, just runof the mill floating rotors .
My question is the stock oem rotors have .... One.... Button on each rotor? Why only 1? And is it even a button for play/ give/float ? I have seen semi or particial floating discs but they have at least 4 buttons evenly spaced around the rotor so the force is spead evenly . With only 1 button the braking force is applied unevenly?
I was also thinking it might be some sort of wear gauge .
They are not ABS, just stock OEM rotors . Google 2006,2007,2008 ect electra glide and if you look there is ..1 .. button??? on each rotor. BTW police bike have same rotors as standard Electra Glides . The side bags are different having a **** on top of bag in stead of latches and IMHO should be on all Harley baggers as they are easier to use with better fitment .
