Are there any handling differences between the RK & RKC, 16" vs. 17" front tire?
Reading the specs, I just noticed that the Road King has a 17" front tire and the the Road King Classic has a 16" front tire.
Is there any note worthy difference between the two as far as the ride quality or handling is concerned? I seem to remember something about white-wall tires only being available in 16", is that correct or am I losing it?
I don't know squat about how these different tire sizes effect handling, I'm guessing that the 17" might be a tad better over all then the smaller 16"?
I'm just curious and thought that I might get to learn something about this since the RK and RKC are my favourite Harleys out of the whole Harley line-up.
I have no personal experience with the Road King Classic, but see about eight paragraphs down in this American Rider road test. No difference noticed by their tester.
Is the FLHR tire taller or the Classic rim smaller to allow for a Wide white wall?
Just thought one day I may swap for the mags. My guess is more sidewall would be a little cushier ride ? SC
