Cruise Control. Worth it?

I understand why people like it. But if you are leading a group of riders leave it off! My friend uses it when he leads, and it really doesn't keep a very consitant speed when in a hilly area. Drives me nuts. Just say'n.

I'm still on the fence when it comes to cruise. 99% of the time I don't use it. Once and a while on a long trip I might put it on to rest my right wrist (carpal tunnel), but for the most part, unless I'm out in the middle of nowhere, I'd rather keep control of the throttle.

About adding cruise... I have seen the add-on kit's in black, but haven't seen them in chrome. Can someone enlighten me a little on this?

I always thought cruise on a bike was a waste until I got a bike with it on there. I will not have a bike without cruise again. I use it all the time. Like someone said earlier, put it on and you can thank us later.
