Default Yaffe MBB help...step inside if you have them

My dealer is installing my 10" MBB's that I waited 7.5 weeks for...they call me today and tell me my heated grips are going to have to go! Ok, I am ready for the hard time BUT I REALLY LIKE them things...has anyone been able to use them?

Thanks!

Its a tight squeeze on the right. It was tough for me and I don't have heated grips.

I took the factory plastic sleeve off the wires and tightly wound electrical tape around the wires. It made the bundle about half the size and easy to pull through. The right side with the tbw was a little tighter but still was no problem. If they did that I would have to assume that should work.

I recently had my local Indy install the 12" MBB's on my 08 SG They could not install the grip heaters due to the net opening on the bars. Saw here on the forum that you needed .875 clearance. Mine seemed to be closer to .8. Also saw here that you could ream them out at a machine shop, but I chose not to alter my expensive bars. Also note where I live.

I would remind the dealer that CVO's come with heated internal grips. Hopefully they won't remind you of the bend in your MB's that CVO bars don't have.

Personally though, I say let the heated grips go. When you are not limiting yourself to heated grips there are some waaay cool grips out there. Buy some Gerbings heated gloves. IMO much better than heated grips. They keep BOTH sides of your hands warm, and have a lifetime warranty.
