Default road king stock seat regular vs classic

I was at the dealers yesterday looking at both the RKC and regular RK. It seemed that the stock seat for the RKC offered a bit more seating support (thicker firmer padding) than the regular RK. I guess it's hard to tell without riding each for awhile. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I will be riding an occasional 2 up, so I will get at least a back rest as an extra.

My stock RKC seat is extremely comfortable for long rides. Various passengers also have had no issues with the seats comfort.

I also find the RKC seat to be very comfortable - no complaints. Add a driver's backrest and some highway pegs and you can go forever.

I would go with the road king classic for a lot of reasons
other than the seat, but if you like the classic seat better,
the go for it you will be thankful later after the sale

Standard seat is definatley not to comfortable looking, or nice looking for that matter. My R/K police had a RKC seat when I bought it, not bad but was worn out, Street Glide seat fits perfect. But that C&C fastback has caught my eye thats for sure.

The Road Kings (FLHR) are notorious for having uncomfortable seats in recent years. I had an '06 RK and the seat was very comfortable. I bought a '10 RK and the first thing I did was put a Mustang Vintage Solo on it (you can a passenger seat and they look great together). Mustang seats go well with Road Kings.

The Road King Classic (FLHRC) stock seat, on the other the hand, seems to be very comfortable. I was sitting on a 2012 RKC the other day at the dealership and was amazed that it was so comfortable - and it really looks good too. The FLHR stock seat is not near as good looking as the Classic.

If you're interested in the Road King, you can check out Mustang seats at: mustangseats.com
