Quote: I was slowing to a stop when I put my foot down I sliped on some loose graval. Bike fell to the right I carefully dropped her. Have some minor scratches on the faring and the right side bag rails. Any suggestions on how to fix? What about my ego?
Don't sweat it, man.
I have a friend who stopped on the side of a road to answer nature's call. Lowered the kickstand, but he had to lean the bike slightly to extend it fully. Put his foot down onto some gravel and it slipped out from under him. The bike fell over and he slid off the road and down out of sight of what little traffic passed him. The scoot pinned his right leg underneath the hot exhaust. He ended up losing the lower half of his leg.

Just me, but if I ever dropped my scooter, I don't think I would broadcast it on internet.

Personally, I think everyone should drop their bikes once per year just for good measure. Welcome to the club!

DUde, dont sweat it. The first day on my road trip this past July with my cuz we were coming to the end of a long ride. Started out in Boston ended up in West virginia somewhere, got a a room, set up the cribbage board and we both went out to get some coldies to bring back to the room for the cards. We pulled into wally world and AS I was slowing down to park my flhtk I used the front brake as I was turning. THis is my 1st admitence to the dump. I was turing pulled the front, those abs are no joke, over I went. Got back up by my self and man I got **** for it, in a good way the rest of the trip, but the worst is no marks or nothing, I got off the bike when we got back to the hotel and I did not pick up my boot enough and hit the sadle bag, gave it a nice big scratch. I was more pissed about that. Everyone dumps, sober, drunk or whatever. I hope we all have the smarts not to ride drunk, I used to, have grown wiser, what ever you do, do it careful. Ride Safe and often.

Wow! Now THAT'S a horrific story, and puts the whole thing in perspective.

took wifey to the local dealership on the back of my bike. was going there to pick up her flhx which was in the shop. pull up to the store, lots of folks outside, parking lot has a slight lean to it, and down we went. havent been that embarassed in quite some time. you guys are right, it's all about our ego, and man it hurts when this crap happens. btw, the wifey and the bike were ok and the entire staff ran out to assist.

I had been having a great day on my CBR. My corner scratching skills were really on that day and I felt good. I stopped for gas at a station where a number of Harleys were filling up. I filled up and had to wait for a friend so I decided to duck-walk my pristine CBR over to the side. I had my helmet on the mirror which immediately fell off. I was so worried about my helmet bouncing along that I hopped off the bike completely forgetting that the sidestand was up! So now, not only is my helmet banged up, but my CBR is laying on it's side.

A guy at the gas pump said "shoulda got a Harley".
