Ok,
Here is what I am in the process of doing on my 09 Ultra.
Internally wiring handlebars and extending the wires.
installing single side brake system on the abs. this is not complete.
installed rush ceramic coated headers.
When I got the bars on last night everything seemed to be working until I went to start it. The fuel injection primes when I hit the engine on switch then when I hit the start switch it turns over and back fires and shoots flames out the tail pipes but never cranks. Now this was cool for a few minutes then its not so cool now. Not sure what I could have done. I did not mess with the fuel or engine systems. The 02 sensors are hooked up.
The only thing lighting up is the ABS light which I assume is lit because the brake lines are not hooked up yet. Could this be a fail safe?
Thanks Trace

it sounds like you got the plug wires mixed up? abs doesn't keep bike from startingif you have power to fuel pump (can hear it prime) the wiring on the bars should be ok try to do a throttle restart, ignition on 30 sec, off 30 sec do this four times try to restart bike now and see how it runs

Bingo,,,
I didn't even think about that. My buddy put the chrome starter cover while I was working on the handlebars and I head no idea he had to unplug the spark plug wires. LOL
