18. Copyrighted material can not be posted on HDForums. Do not post pictures that have a copyright stamp on them or bootlegged material, such as Harley Manuals which have been illegally downloaded on CD's. Any violation of this rule will cause the post/thread to be removed and the offending member to be warned or banned (depending on the severity of the violation).
If you have a profile on the Harley web site you can do all sorts of things. One of those is look at a online version of the owners manual. (not a download) http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...bmLocale=en_US
There is also a link there to the part numbers for all the manuals pertaining to your bike.
IF a manufacturer make a download available on their web site it is legal.
Otherwise it is what is commonly known as stealing. Dealers are in it to make a profit!
Some of them are not very good at customer relations those are the ones most likely to earn the common nickname "Stealer"
IMO The dollars you spend on any type of documentation to support the upkeep of your bike is the best investment you will ever make on it.

Well - that's fair enough. Makes sense that H-D would want owners to have access to their owner manuals. Now service manuals . . . That's another story!
