well, i spoke to soon it seems...brake relay seems to be bad as it will still kick on for no real reason...is this relay sumptin i can get from an auto zone or similar source? or is it a HD only part?
Should be able to find one at an auto parts store. Take one of the other relays and swap it to see if it is the relay. I believe all three relays are the same.

Must be a slow day at the dealership to be able to chime in here.

yeah, they are all the same, and swapping them seemed to do nothing, i was finally able to get the stuck lead of the rear brake switch, cleaned it and put some dielectric grease on them leads and all seems fine as far as the brake light thang. gonna finish shining, and go for a ride to check the cruise out...maybe the brake switch was causing the cruise issue?
Going through your prior posts on here I just realized you have an 09, yes? If it is an 09, I can tell you that the rear brake switches have been haunting the 09's by melting and otherwise failing. If it were me, I'd replace the whole switch now.

dont tell me that **** dawg, man, i just got it back from the dealer! lol. im gonna see if i cant come up with a simple heat shield/protector for that brake switch, it is pretty close to hot things...
seems that bad connections was the issue, some dielectic grease, cleaning and all seems to be fine now, cruise even works!
thanks for all the help guys!
dawg... yup, its an 09, question...
would low brake fluid cause the abs light to come on? i know theres like 4 pages of flow charts to diagnose abs problems and wonder if low fluids would be one of the causes for that light to stay on?
well, my rear pads are low, and reason i ask is while on vacation when this all started, both master cyclinders were low... if i give you the code it puked up could you look it up for me?
