I hate debt almost as much as I hate banks and bankers.

You'd be surprised how quickly you can pay off your house, if you take that bike payment money and apply it towards your house every month.

 

In todays economy its wiser to have the extra money free and availabe so I recommend saving it until you have at least 6 months with a goal of 1yr of monthly expenses saved in case of job loss etc.

That is one of the best feelings in the world, making the last payment. The only thing better is when you get the title in the mail from the bank.
