So I just bought a brand new 2011 Road Glide Ultra and its painted like this ....
However... I don't like the brown paint design on top of the vivid black... SOOOOO. I need help trying to find people who A.) have new or "like new" front fenders, street glide gas tanks, bags, side covers, etc in VIVID BLACK who would like to trade. Or B.) if you just bought a brand new street glide and you're getting ready to take it to the paint shop to get it customized... I'd love to trade parts with you BEFORE you get them painted. Again, my bike is brand new, only a few hundred miles on my bike. I'd just like to get it to all be Vivid Black. If you know someone who'd like to swap their new'ish parts for my new parts.... please let me know.
Why did you buy it if you don't like the color?
Black is a total PITA to keep nice. Swirl marks from day one and it just gets worse from there. Been there, done that, NEVER again. Black sucks!
Not a answer to your request but I like the paint on your bike as it is. But then again, I was never fan of all black bike. A ton of them out there and just dont seam to have any charactor.

But black is faster. Just ask anyone that owns one.
OP, your bike is fine just the way it is. Ride it and be happy. Otherwise have it painted or check the classifieds section here.
BTW, love your bike and wish I could afford one....

well, i traded in my 07 street glide and i was a bit upside down, the only dealer in the area that would work with me had one 11 fltru left, wanted to move it out quickly... after a lot of negotiating... he gave me the bike i really wanted, a road glide... the last 11 he had, only thing was...it was the ultra, and it was black like i wanted...but not totally bike. I guess I just took the lesser of the evils. No bike, or a bike I really wanted, but just had to tweak a bit. I wend with the second. Go easy on me fellas! LOL.
But anyway.... lets keep this up because I'm sure there are folks on here that in the near future are going to be getting some paint jobs done to their new glides... i'd love to see if I can still make this work. Craigslist has been good, but I found its much easier to work with people on this forum, than on craigslist when it comes to issues such as swapping parts.

you're right.. I do ride, and I am very happy... but you know how it is... you get something, and especially if you've spend some change on it.... you wanna get it exactly how you want it. thats all I'm doing.
