Ha, I love it. People do all they can to keep the miles off their vehicles, we do all we can to rack up as many miles as possible on our scoots. My '08 Heritage just turned 35k, that's only because I spent 6mo in the sand box while the bike slept in the shed. Not to mention we don't get a whole lot for a riding season in the northeast.
It's been a while since I posted. My 2000 RKC now has 92k....still running original belt, stator, regulator, clutch, cables, fuel filter, ect. It's been near bullet proof.
My 05 has been incredible! Changed out the cam shoes at 45,000 because we were in there, they were fine. same with the stator, shifter seal needed replacing at 80K so as long as the primary was off we bolted in a new stator.
Now, I'm looking forward to another 100K
I remember when I hit 50k, 60k, 70k on my 99. I heard more than once "you must have gotten one of the good ones". I would just shrug and say "whatever"
I bought my FLHTC new in May of 08. I just rolled passed 91,000 this past weekend. Other than oil and tires, I've had to replace the voltage regulator twice. Hoping it will last 200,000+.
