anyone have any knowledge, comments etc, concerning stretched bags from co called fairng factory?
Over on the Road glide Forum there are some members that reccommend Fairing factory, they are ABS Bags and Lids and can be found on E Bay painted for $ 999.00 shipped
I've been on the fence for quite some time now regarding extended bags, bag extensions, or just leaving them alone. Last week I finally jumped off the fence and am happy I did! I found these on eBay from a company called Choppers Cycle, they are Bagger Werx extended bags, already painted Vivid Black with some minor paint blemishes. All of my blemishes were on the side facing into the bike, you can't even tell from the outside. The blemishes were from bubble wrapping the bags before the clear coat cured so there's a ghosted impression. I haven't tried yet, but I'm thinking some good scratch remover and wax will fade them to almost unnoticeable. They were an amazing deal (I think), $499 shipped, with gray fitted fabric liners. The liners are pretty thick, almost too thick, but they will definitely cushion anything I put in there.
I'm planning on doing a new paint job over the winter so I wasn't too worried about the blemishes and I figured the black would match until I do paint it, but I don't think you could find the blemishes just looking at them without really inspecting the bags. They are fiberglass, so they're a little heavier than the OEM's but they are very sturdy feeling. I just used my current lids and hardware.
Anyway, I thought I would share since I hadn't seen much about Bagger Werx when I did a search before buying these. So far I am very happy with them.

Nice set of bags. I've been struggling with the same decision for 2 years and finally ready to make the conversion over the winter time. I plan to go with an extened fender too. Just can't seem to make up my mind on where to buy the bags. Companies popping up everywhere and doesn't help to hear some of the horror stories about the poor quality.

I really like the down sept lines of their bags and the prices are competitive
In all my months of research, Top Shop Carbon and Milwaukee Bagger keep coming up as quality bags. So, I called TSC and they offer a discount to HDForum Members. I have to see if MB offers the same discount since they're right across the border.
