Put bike in 6th gear and have someone apply the rear brake while you torque the cam bolts.

You can go down to auto zone and rent a small 2 jawed puller and a slide hammer and pull them right out. different story on putting them in to the right depth tho. I'll bet you know someone that has those tools you could borrow. It's not a hard job

Brain was not in gear and did not have your pictures. I was in wrong side. Sorry. Was the press fit too tight on the sprocket causing it to split and then it spun?

Do not reuse the old inner cam bearings, put new ones in. Don't put off the install trying to find full compliment bearings, the type doesn't matter on the 1" cam bearings.
