Talk about a "Blast from the Past" ... Grab On Grips! I didn't think they made them anymore .... we use to use them back in the early 70's.

I've had several billet grips on a couple bikes that really never worked so instead of replacing them thats what I used. The thin avon rubber ones work great, the foam ones work good too but add a little girth to the grip. I haven't yet used them on the Harley grips so I can't speak to that. If you look at the full detail they will tell you what diameter they can fit over.

Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, that will make them like new again. This also works very well on steering wheels.

Had the same problem and got Capt Itch to make me some lace up leather covers to put over them. $20 bucks and problem was solved. I'm thinking this sticky prob is only an issue in the heat of the summer so come winter time I will take the leathers off.

I've cleaned mine with an old tooth brush and dawn soap. They were sticky again the next day.
