I know there has been some discussion on this matter, but what about belt tension issues? Anyone had a problem, did you readjust the belt during installation or leave it alone?
shouldn't effect the belt at all
I figured since the service manual gave different Drive Belt deflection specifications with the bike on the stand or up in the air it had to do with something with the position of the swingarm. Seems the DB system could change that factor since it has something like a 4" movement.
I have logged over 500 miles on mine so far and really like it. The purpose of having it? Well it allows me to lower it for city riding giving me better control by being able to flat foot the ground. It also lowers the center of gravity, which helps in handling. Then when hitting the highway just the touch of a button I am back in the cruising position.
Yes, there were some start up problems but I tell you what Tony has gone out of his way to make things right.
I have over 1 K miles on mine now, yes it is a sort of novelty item, but I like to be able to adjust on the fly. I did receove a bad dump valve and a new one was on the way right after I left a message.
I love the novelty. It is cool to slam it, but I'm also wondering if I'm going to leave mine on. It is stiffer and can get harsh on rough roads. I think the problem is the valving on the shocks. As I understand they were designed for a Corvette. A much heavier vehicle.
