Default Windscreen Storage

Made this rack today to store my windshield when it is off. There were some other posts with much more creative and better looking ones but search is down so I can’t find them add this. Mine has the advantage of being easy and cheap (scrap wood). Putting this up just in case someone is searching and this helps.

A few dimensions:
5/8 dowel
Top bracket - wall to center of hole 4 & 3/8
Bottom bracket –wall to center 5 & 5/8
These dimensions include the ¾ for the cross piece

Dowel to dowel (center) is 7 & ¾ but what I did was wall-mount the lower one and use the windshield to get the top one in the right place. The actual vertical would be something a little less than that. Gravity helps hold the windscreen on and the wire clip is making it secure.

Could use a little paint, I guess.

This leaves about a 4.5” gap at the top of my shield to the wall so I could have made shorter brackets and had it a little closer to the wall and probably would if I was doing it again.

Thanks for the post. I need one of these and this is a practical way to go about it.
