I run the 160/80B-16 on my rear. It's about 3/4 of an inch wider than the MU90, which is what a lot of the other guys run. No modifications whatsoever, no clearance issues with the belt guard. I prefer the way the bike rides with the 160 instead of the MU90. I'm also running the MT90 on the front.

the 160 is speced for a 3.5 inch wheel.running it on a 3 inch wheel pulls in the sidewalls so it is narrower than the stated specs.

I myself had a problem with the 160 and went back to a MU90. I'm also running 12.5 inch Works shocks and I think that contributed to my problem...

Will do baust55. I may be running without a front fender if it doesn't fit. I wrote down 6" maximum width for front tire in the notebook I keep with my tools. The 150 E3 is 5.97" wide I sure hope it fits! I'll post pics either way.

pulling in the sidewalls will also make it taller, hence the problems with lowered shocks.

It's a taller tire to begin with, 26.1 compared to 25.72, but it's a belted tire & the belt will not allow it to grow any. It may lose about an 1/8" in width on a 3" rim, that still makes it about 3/8" wider. I really don't care, it works great on my bike, handles great, & is wearing excellent, good enough for me.
