Default Heritage bars are on.

Well, I got my bars yesterday from Fedx. I went to the stealership and bought some new grips and while there I went ahead and picked up a new headlight visor as well as the visors for the driving lights and new chrome passenger floorboard covers. Got home and installed all of the above as well as my new bars. Took it for a spin around the neighborhood to get a feel for the bars. They seem to have a weird angle to them, kinda reminds me of a V-Rod by the feel. Hopefully they don't bother me to much. These will be temporary until I figure out which apes I want to go with.

you'll get used to it. i'd say give it a couple hundred miles before you start moving them around... need to get the feel of the bars first IMO

When I had a Heritage Harley, I never liked the bars (or changed them) but did find I could live with them, and was quite comfortable with them adjusted way down low, so my forearms were level.

Just looking at your pic, they do need to come back a bit. Here is a bad pic, but basically the same angle as your's, just the opposite side. Hope this helps. As you pull them back, the grip angle will change quite a bit.

Here's a better, but not by much, pic. Check the angle of the grips, not my hands. I was trying to balance the bike with mother-in-law on it, on a sloping driveway. So I was having to use my arms some. When I'm cruising down the road, my forearms are parallel to the ground and very comfortable.
